PACO RABANNE 1996 Limited Edition "Do It Yourself" Rhodoid Disc Dress (S-M-L)

This Rhodoid Disc Dress by Paco Rabanne is a groundbreaking design that changed fashion forever. 
A rare and highly collectible piece, this is a 1996 re-issue of the iconic 1966 dress, originally introduced in Rabanne’s first haute couture collection, 12 Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials. 

Revolutionizing fashion with its futuristic use of plastic and metal, the design is listed as number 14 in Marie Claire's "50 Dresses That Changed Fashion."

The original dress was famously worn by Donyale Luna on the cover of British Vogue in 1966 and appeared on Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road. The original version is now housed in the permanent collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This edition, limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide, consists of interlinked gold-toned rhodoid discs, meticulously assembled by hand. 

Unlike the original kit, which required hours of construction, this dress is already fully assembled.
